Project: Timber Truss Installation — Matsheumhlope, Bulawayo

Project: Timber Truss Installation — Matsheumhlope, Bulawayo

Project Overview

Scope: Full timber roof truss fabrication & installation

Location: Matsheumhlope, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe

Roof Type: Hip roof with multiple intersecting sections | Ready for tile cladding

Project Overview
This residential truss installation in Matsheumhlope, one of Bulawayo's established suburbs, demonstrates our precision timber work on a large, multi-section hip roof. The home features a sprawling L-shaped footprint with intersecting roof planes, a covered veranda, and multiple hip ends — making this one of the more technically demanding framing jobs in our portfolio.
What We Did
Our team fabricated and installed a complete timber truss and batten system across the building's interconnected wings. Each truss was cut and positioned to achieve clean, consistent roof pitches across all sections, with precise alignment at every valley and hip intersection. The white-painted fascia boards were fitted and levelled throughout, ready to receive tile cladding.
Drone photography captured the full scope of the framework at completion — the golden timber grid clearly showing the complexity of the multi-directional hip roof geometry achieved across this large residential footprint. Roofing tiles can be seen staged on-site, ready for the next phase.
What Makes This Project Stand Out
